What a scheduling nightmare this week is going to be. My car is being held hostage at the mechanics.
Not really held hostage, of course, but this is how I feel. They haven't called yet to tell me what exactly is wrong, so I'm not sure how long I will be without it. I've been debating renting a car, but didn't want to spend the money if I really didn't need to. Of course, I don't know if I really need to because they still don't know what's wrong with the damn car. Are you all with me on this circle of hell? So, my friend Susan, who happens to be one of my only friends here, called just now to say that she has her husband's car for me to borrow as long as I need! They are moving to California (very sad) and her husband has already gone ahead to start his new job. His car is still here, and voila, a car for me to use for free! I love how the universe sends me these gifts! Now, I have to work tonight at 8pm until 4am Wed morning. Then, I will come home and sleep for two hours and then get up to take Jack to school and Sahara to her visit to her new elementary school. Then, after that is over at 11:30 I will take her home (no use fighting the "I don't want to go back to school" business the last two weeks of school) and then sleep for two hours and go back to get Jack and then go back to work at 8pm tomorrow night! ACK. Scheduling nightmare. The good news is that my sister is coming to visit for the weekend! They are taking the train on Saturday from Richmond and leaving Tuesday. Now I have to do a massive de-clutter on Friday and Sat before they get here. It's more fun when you do it with a purpose. Oh, goodness. I have to go take a nap so I can go to work.
