support

Anyone who knows me at all knows that I don't support the war in Iraq. But I DO support our troops. Our generation for the first time is starting to know how it felt for our parents & grandparents having so many of our boys go off to war & quite often not come back.

My brother is an Army MP (see what happens when you take away all the jobs in MI?). He's leaving for Iraq a week from Saturday. There's a going away party for him tomorrow. Sorry, family only.

Here's the deal. I have a white t-shirt I'm giving to my brother. If I can get downtown tonight, I will bring it to CC to have people sign in order to show him support. If you would like to participate in this, great! Please!

Here's the thing:
No profanity
No 'goth' crap
No crappy rude things in general...why?

My brother joined the Army to get benefits for his 3 kids, and to defend our country. He's a good person, and he may die for all of us. Please be kind enough to show this person the respect our boys are due. If this is not your thing and you don't want to participate, that's absolutely ok. It's up to you if this is something you want to be involved in. I'm not going to make judgment either way. I just want to do something for my brother that I believe will make him a little less lonely when he's out there.

:)
