My Cakes!
Not sure I'll this one a hobby yet, but I have always loved to cook and bake. Bake especially. These are two recent cakes I made. Much more to them than I've EVER done. First time working with fondant and also first time making a tiered cake!

Birthday cake for my cousin. Her mother asked me to make a heart shaped cake in red with a white rose on it. I added the J on my own. Next time I'll make any letters out of gumpaste, the fondant was difficult to keep flat and with clean edges. As orderd it was yellow cake with strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream frosting.
This one was a cake for an engagement party. The colors were left up to me but I was asked to make it "pretty". It's yellow cake with raspberry and strawberry filling. Two tiers covered with buttercream and fondant. Fondant ribbon roses. The fondant on the cake was covered with sugar crystals. Much more sparkly in person.
