new doctor
New doctor appointment went well. She is a bit more conservative in terms of risk taking than the other one but actually seems to be paying attention and concerned, which is nice. I feel much more comfortable talking to her and not feeling like part of an assembly line. Baby has a good heartbeat and is growing well. I won't get to deliver at my prefered hospital but I think the trade off is worth it.
And yes I do have some kind of muscle damage around my ribs but can't take any of the medication that might actually help (at present it constantly feels like a knife inserted in varying degrees). The more I rest the better it gets, but like that is going to happen. She did give me a muscle relaxant to use sparingly when it gets unbearable.
On a more amusing note, Vivi decided on the way to said appointment was the perfect time to manifest a stomach bug and threw up all over herself. So I stopped, cleaned her up and got her a new outfit and several minutes later she had exploded her diaper EVERYWHERE (will probably have to throw away the car seat). So I cleaned her up again, sans clothing, and she still threw up again on the way back. And right as I was about to put her in the bathtub she had an accident on the bathroom rug *sigh*. These things usually only last 24 hours so I am hopeful it will be gone soon and really hoping I don't get it. Of course it could always just be food poisoning (particularly considering she is in the eat everything that appears remotely edible off the floor phase). Very glad I had my husband with me. We actually laughed about it, between gagging over the smell. And he really is good at handling such crisises.
