The older kids room is almost done. The problem has been a combination of how small the room is vs. how much stuff they have (and continue to get at every christmas/birthday/etc.). And I have a hard time getting rid of toys they outgrow because in a couple of years patrick and Vivi will enjoy it. So I am settling for weeding out the things I don ( Read more... )

Yes I am alive just alternating between busy and tired. Still a bit off though from all the stuff the last few weeks and now patrick starting school. That and I am moody and uncomfortable and don't have nearly enough maternity comfy pants/capris/shorts. oh and be careful about storing toys in closets (unless they are outgrown ones that Robert isn't ready for yet) - it is a vicious cycle and will suck up all your storage space if you aren't careful. I had this brilliant idea that I would put some toys in closet and rotate them with the ones still out every few months so they would have something new, it never happened. It is much better to donate or pass along to friends.

Is it just me or do husbands seem to be lacking an organization gene? Mine does the same thing, except I eventually clean up after him and either put it in a box on a shelf or get rid of it (if there isn't room). I stopped asking him if it was okay or expecting help and he has become accustomed to needing to ask me where things can be found.

Because of where we live, piles of things can't stay undisturbed on the floor for more than a week or so without creepies taking up residence under them. That helps in the motivation department.

And yes skirts would be nice - especially if they would work for church - I am rapidly outgrowing everything.
