So...first entry I guess we'll start with this weekend
So Friday I went to Fudruckers with Blair and Kristen and then we went to Myrtle Beach for Ice Cream. So we pull up to the place and it was in possibly the worst location. They had a really trashy motel behind it with people like passed out and some doing drugs. So we ran in and ran right back out. Then we went mini-golfing. And after that we went to Wal-Mart and picked up Trouble, Candy Land, and Ants in Pants. In case your wondering, College certainly does not mature you. Saturday I stayed in bed til...2 in the afternoon. It was pretty bad. The only reason I actually ended up getting out of bed was to go to the Post Office which unbeknownst to me, closes at 2 on Saturdays...whoops. After that I hung out til dinner when Blair and Kristen and I went to Planet Hollywood. Today Kelly, Ashley and I went to a tattoo place and apparently in South Carolina, you have to be 21 to get a tattoo. It's 18 everywhere us but here which I find rather odd. So then we had to sit in Myrtle Beach traffic just to get back to CCU. After that we got lunch at the commons. Which totally sucked this weekend. I understand that its a 3 day weekend and everything but for those of us who can't go home, we should be served decent food :( Tonight I'm going out with Blair for pizza. Yesterday I finally made it to Church for the first time since I've been here and the weirdest thing ever happened. Of all the Church's in Conway, I somehow manage to run into one of my RA's at this particular one. It's all good though because she's really nice. Now I'm just lying in bed not doing anything but watching Are You Afraid Of the Dark on youtube. God I miss my childhood. Especially the old Nickelodeon. Those were some good shows. What do we have now Zoey 101 and The Naked Brothers Band? Seriously. You can't tell me you couldn't come up with anything better. Ugh forgive me for sounding 80 but my generation was kick ass. This thursday marks the 1st year since my grandma had her stroke. This is gonna be hard. Anyway moving on here's a list I've compiled since I've been here.
Things I have learned while in College
1. 6:30 was way too early in high school but now suddenly anything before noon is considered way too early
2. Gone are the days of teacher's conventions and snow days
3. Laundry time is bonding time
4. People will pay you to do favors (i.e laundry)
5. They spent the whole year of sixth grade telling us we couldn't carry our backpacks to class. And how does that help us now?
6. Easy Mac is a way of life
7. Suddenly mentioning what school you go to, gets you all kind of discounts
8. Things were never so cheap before
9. Things were never so expensive before
10. Football games are treated as a religious holiday
11. Going to bed early in High School meant you were in bed by 10. Now anything before 2 is considered lucky
12. Your suddenly eating 1 meal a day and your not hungry
13. It never sucked so much to be sick before
14. If you can manage to get along with your roommates, you'll be set for the year
15. Quaters are like gold
