And now, the return of the long-anticipated M&D TOUR DIARY!
We haven't come up with a name for this tour yet, but it's only the first night. Tonight's show: the world-famous Milestone, in Charlotte, NC. Before the show we did our usual Subway dinner trip. The employees were dripping sweat past their visors into the meat, since there was no air conditioning! Loads of flies chilled out on the roast beef, which was already starting to get that rainbow sheen. Edmond said to me "Don't order the mayo!"
As we left the Subway which could have doubled as a bikram yoga studio, some born again lady approached Edmond with a, "How you feeling? Are you feeling AWESOME?" Because (we think she assumed ) that's what white people say! And we were not in a white neighborhood. Edmond can talk to the proselytizing for hours, so I dragged him away and we went to the show! AND IT WAS AWESOME. My Dear Ella and Pacific Stereo were both so great and hilarious people. Sometimes we really love playing places that aren't NYC!
