Quick update on the past days events
A lot has happened since the last time I updated... I went to my first research conference ever, flew on an airplane for the first time, and decided that maybe I should take a second look at the possibly of a double major.
Wedsnesday I left USF around 12:30 and went to the airport. I was slightly nervous about the flight but after taking off I was fine. We arrived around 6:20 in NC but my bag wasn't there and wouldn't be delivered to me until 9pm at our hotel. We ended up waiting around the airport until we were picked up by buses and by the time we finally got to all venture off for dinner it was almost 9pm. I met a lot of my group that night... there were 18 people from usf there... 8 from my research lab... We ended up eating at a very interesting mexican restaurant... It was REAL mexican food... not the fake crap like taco bell... And it was pretty good.
Thursday 3 people from my group had to present at 9am... We all got up pretty early to get around, get breakfast, and make it to the univ. The day ended up being great. That night be went to an awesome chinese/thai restaurant and I used how to use chopsticks properly. The food was even better than the night b4 and we all had a great time. friday we all just went to different presentations and had the banquet dinner... later we would venture out to get ice cream... And sat. I would present!
My poster presentation ended up going very well... I got the hang of it right away and had a lot of fun presenting.
After the presentation I had to leave almost right away to get back to leave... our shuttle to the airport ended up being 45 min. late and after we called and harrassed them a million times they finally showed. We almost didn't make it b/c of that... We had to fight with the people to give us our tickets, but we ended up being there just in time to start boarding... Our second flight left almost two hours late... so I was late getting home. Today I pretty much just have hung around, went to target, and a concert for my honors class..
That was pretty much it... a summary of the past few days.. I didn't want to go into anything big but there were definitely a lot of other things happening while we were there...
This week is going to be crazy with all my meetings adn I have to figure out my schedule for next semester.. after this week everything should be settling down. Three weeks left and then finals week and we're done with another year.
I can't believe I've already been in college for two years... It's the norm now though..
