Sevilyn Grace Pinson :)

This past week was so joyous for me! I had the pleasure of keeping my granddaughter Sevilyn here with me for the whole week. Her older sister Marcel goes to summer camp every year here in Comfort, at the Hermann Sons Youth Camp. So Matt and Mary offered me the opportunity to have Sevi, since they would both be working, and because they thought it would be a wonderful bonding opportunity for us both. This child is so amazing. At the tender age of 2 1/2, she made it through the whole week without getting homesick except for about an hour one night. We had the best time--me doing my best to spoil her rotten, and she being so sweet that I couldn't help myself from spoiling her. She talks so plain, is so easy-going and easy to please, that the week just flew by for me. We laughed, we played, we blew bubbles, went shopping, played babies together, played beach ball, got wet in the little pool I got her, took walks every evening. She was not at all picky about food-- ate everything I cooked, plus some healthy (and some unhealthy) snacks. We even found time for her to hang out with Aunt Kimmie. And of course, as soon as Grumpy returned from out of town, she enjoyed playing and being spoiled by him as well. I love every one of my grandchildren equally, but it was just fun having this one here without her parents! Can't wait to have this opportunity on a regular basis! Now, it's back to chores and some of the dulldrums of everyday life...though this house on the hill still puts a huge smile on my face!!!
