THE BRIG! That makes me so happy.

AND DONNA. EVERYTHING I EVER COULD HAVE WISHED FOR AND MORE. The moment when you get the three of them together-- Martha's unexpected support, Donna's good humor, Rose's need of approval-- oh my god. Just. Their boiled essences, allowed to SHINE. AND I AM MIXING MY METAPHORS HERE, BUT IT'S OKAY BECAUSE THIS STORY IS THAT GOOD.

But that conversation by the telescope... ARGH WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME QUESTION HIM? I was perfectly content to assume Romeo!Doctor was, y'know. Not an alien. AND NOW I AM DOUBTING.

Awww, I love the Brig dearly. I haven't seen much of old!Who to write him with much confidence yet, but he's going to be poking his head around Verona from time to time, rest assured ;).

MIXED METAPHORS ARE AWESOME AND ALWAYS WELCOME, BB. It's like a buffet plate of meanings, all of them wonderful and so, so appreciated ♥. I eagerly await the day Donna becomes the Pope, and can smite nonbelievers of her ginger awesomeness with like, holy thunderbolts or something.

The easiest way to write the Brig if you're unsure, I think, is to give him the same dialogue you'd give Martha. They have the same exact dry sense of humor and utterly rational worldview.

PLEASE WRITE A SEQUEL IN WHICH DONNA BECOMES POPE. PLEASE. (... is Friar even a Catholic position?)

Hmm... I think so. I typed in 'Friar' on this online Catholic encyclopedia thing, and lots of stuff came up, so I assume it is XD.

And if not, I'm sure Donna can defect and become the Pope-equivalent to her own religion. She'll retain the hat and the grail and everything ;).
