MOAR INK ALWAYS.

YESTERDAY WAS TATTOO DAY. *ahem* As some of you may have noticed. A flurry of folks have asked for pics, so I'll do a quick write up. Basically my life is crazy and my artist is only there four days a week, so I left work early and fucking HIGHTAILED it down to the shop. I ended up being there for five and a half hours, but only four and a half of that was actual tattooing.

A quick pic of the outline of Crowley I snapped with my phone when she went to redo the Aziraphale stencil in another size.

I'm just going to fess up right now, it hurt like a bitch. My previous tattoo hadn't really been that bad, so I was more or less expecting more of the same. BUT O HO. The inside of the arm was the worst. I also think that a part of it is that I could watch her last time and that took my mind off of it. This time I couldn't see Aziraphale when she was doing him because of the way I was twisted around in the chair. Crowley went by faster, or seemed to. I'm sure he didn't because he has so much fill in. Crowley I could see. Also, we started filling Crowley in around the three and a half hour mark, so I was loopy as shit from having sat still for so long and just started nattering on about whatever. She didn't mind. She nattered with me and we talked about jobs and where we wanted to go and places we'd been and church and all kinds of things.

While we were there, she also touched up the last one she did for me. Some of you will remember the tree and gears that kickingrad drew for me.

I like her. A lot. I hope she's okay with me, because I'd like to throw more of my money at her in the future. She seemed slightly taken aback by the tip I left her. She said thank you several times. I don't even know if it was that good of a tip--everything I've found about tipping tattoo artists varies wildly--but she stayed an hour and a half after her shift to finish me up, and she was excellent the whole time, so I feel she earned it.

Anyway, without further ado, the boys:

It's harder to see Crowley in one because he wraps around my arm

And ETA for those who wanted a wider shot to see placement.

They are smash on what I wanted. I especially love Crowley. I just, HIS LITTLE FACE. HIS WATER SPRITZER She asked me what the deal was with water spritzer and I quickly explained about him being a demon and taking the whole singing to plants thing to a new level. I said, "He's basically here to cause as much discord as possible with as little effort. OH HEY, JUST LIKE ME." I asked her to maintain the block art type print of them and she did a wonderful job of it.

For those of you who don't know, Good Omens is my favorite book in the history of modern literature. In the book, Aziraphale (an angel) and Crowley (a demon who did not fall so much as saunter vaguely downward) work against heaven and hell to stop the apocalypse because they've become so attached to the earth. I feel like if I actually had an angel and a devil on my shoulders they'd be like Aziraphale and Crowley. The angel wouldn't be too good. The devil wouldn't be too bad. So, that's the why.

Right. I'm going to go and get some lunch and do some last minute Christmas shopping before I have to come back and get ready for the Nutcracker tonight. Thanks for hopping around in delight with me. Eeeeee.

good omens, tattoos, pics, kl is a spaz
