I couldn't agree more. Be glad you aren't in an Idol comms...although actually they're not bad about this (possibly because they're still fighting the Kris vs Adam war which only existed for them ever).
I wouldn't set foot near an Idol comm. Did the forum thing for a bit when I first started watching and all I found was negativity and people attacking the contestants and their fans. So I left. I totally get not liking someone, I completely understand thinking the wrong person went home or won, but I don't agree with, nor will I tolerate, the bullshit that goes on (including death threats). It's stupid and childish and I have far better things to do with my time than listen to the crap.
Music, like so many other things in life, is a matter of personal preference. Some people will like Lee but not Crystal, and some will like Crystal but not Lee. Some won't like either. There's nothing wrong with that, no one person's opinion is more right or wrong than the next persons. Yes, if say, Katy had won over Crystal, I would've been really upset, but I wouldn't have stooped to calling her names and saying her fans are tone deaf.
Exactly. Honestly this year I just didn't care. I liked them both pretty equally. If I had voted it would've been for Lee because I hated that the judges were doing everything short of just saying "you lose" to him Tuesday night.
Still following (and liking) both Adam and Kris from last year I find it amazing that they're more...intense...fans are still acting like children and starting fights over it. It's ridiculous to the point that mother's day weekend Adam tweeted telling his fans to lay off Kris and grow up (he used the words grow up, I'm not paraphrasing). Because his fans stalk Kris' twitter waiting for him to say something stupid (which he did), and Kris' fans do the same to Adam.
I was actually leaning more toward Lee for a bit there. Because he was the dark horse of the competition (like Kris Allen) and Crystal was the obvious favorite. I'm big on the underdogs. But in the end, my loyalty to her won over and I was really hoping for her to win. But I've been completely fine with either of them being the winner for weeks now
