Ah, spring

Tomorrow I have the pleasure of firing up my own lawn mower for the first time. Breakfast will consist of much coffee, toast and eggs and mower manuel. I need to find where and how to put the oil in (it was drained for the winter season last fall by the person who sold it to me) and become familiar with mower care and feeding. Wish me luck and good sense, y'all, and any advice on the subject any of you might want to toss this way would be much appreciated. I can mow carefully, I can put the gas in and prime it, but after that I am Yardley the Mower Novice. My neighbors who know about such things are home during the day about twice during the summer season. I really don't want to be a stupid broad who ruins a machine from lack of knowledge.
I've always wondered how you can clean the wet grass from the blades and inside of the housing without spilling engine oil and gas all over the place. I have a bizarre picture in my head of a mower on a hydraulic lift and me standing below it with a power washer, hehe.
But, no mo(w)re tonight. First thing in smart anything is to get sufficient rest to let your brain work. I've seldom been good at that. 'Night All. Muah!

life is stranger than fiction
