Today's general wonderingment: How sick does your child have to be for you to keep him home from school?
Obviously, if he has a fever or is vomiting, I keep him home. That's a school rule anyway - fever-free for 24 hours. But today he has a cough - a deep chest kind of cough, so I know he has a cold. He has no fever and is acting normally, with his usual ridiculous amount of energy. So I'm going to send him in. I know I'm not the only parent who does this, since last week we were at his school to distribute cupcakes for his birthday, and we counted one or two of his classmates with the exact same cough.
Anyway, I'm curious: what's your personal cut-off in terms of ill health?
