That is a good point. Actually, your comment led to an interesting conversation.

Masa: "It's for fund-raising!"
Me: *raises one eyebrow* "The ONI needs to hold a lot of fundraisers, does it?"
Masa: "Well, they might have barbecues."

Which led, further, to an imagined conversation involving me standing outside the ONI campus, holding onto the bars and peering onto the grounds.

Security guard: "Ma'am, I'm going to have to ask you to step away from the fence."
Me: "I just want a mug!"
Security guard: *unclips sidearm from holster* "Ma'am, you're going to need to step back."
Me: "But don't you want to have an ice-cream social?"
Security guard: *takes aim* "Ma'am, put your hands up."

You do know it’s probably got a minute camera so he can tell if you’re cooking something he doesn’t really like. Expect a sudden increase in take homes and eating out invitations.

That's amusing. Kind of like LL and their whole "don't broadcast that you work here" thing, then they turn around and give you swag* emblazoned with the logo.

*recent acquisitions from "appreciation day" includes a soft sided cooler and a camp chair. See what you're missing out on? You know that it would be worth working just to get a blue cooler. Wouldn't it make you feel appreciated?
