Help! My in-laws are coming to town Friday night to have Shabbat dinner with us and then spend a little time with Amelia. I knew that Rob was going to ask them to come, but I didn't think they'd say yes. Now I have to make Shabbat dinner. I need ideas for a menu and some recipes for sure-hits. Do you have a crock pot? I have recipe for a chicken that is really, really yummy! You could stick the chicken into the oven as well. You could do some stuffing with it and ummm...what else? I don't know...don't have any more ideas just yet. I can get you that recipe if you want.

Yes, I do have a crock pot. I've only had limited success with it though. Please send recipes!

Okay, breathe! You can do this. How about a recipe that you could cook Thursday night and Moira could reheat on Friday? I like brisket. It is actually better the second day because, if you cook it a day ahead and refrigerate, you can skim the congealed fat off the gravy (eeeww!) and it is much less greasy. If you are interested, I will send you my scrumptious brisket recipe. For a dairy meal, you can make a lasagna totally ahead of time, refrigerate and have Moira pop it in the oven Friday night. Add a green salad and you have a delicious meal. What do you think?

Send me your brisket recipe. Is it something i can make tonight though? I'm not sure about lasagna, my FIL is diabetic and I think it would have too many carbs. But send me the recipe anyway, cause Rob and I will eat it.

Okay, I forgot to send you the brisket recipe when I was at home last night and I tried to get Janet to read me the recipe over the phone today, but then Zoe woke up and she had a poop etc. If I post it when I get home tonight, does that help at all?
