Not worth the hype
I got a text from oops_in_the_apt saying that P!atD was about to be on Lopez. We've been texting for the past week about the new album and the shared opinion is that it's not worth the wait. Some of the lyrics are so off that it kills what had the potential to be a really good song. Like Hurricane. The beginning puts the entire thing ten steps behind to start.
The performance? A train wreck.
Basically, they should have dropped the name and started their own thing instead of trying to hang on to the coat tails of Ryan Ross' teenage angst.
Although I'm not going to give up on it just yet.
In other news, I love Adele, Black Kids, and The Heavy.
