(no subject)
So I haven't really written since May, and so much has happened since then!
Wedding shinnanigans are now over, which is a relief. A fun night had by all, surreal almost, but it is a weight off our shoulders nonetheless. It has heightened my missing of friends, and reignited my love of the dance and the party.
Speaking of the party, homecoming is coming up, and I can't wait. Call me a loser, if you wish, but I am SO EXCITED! I mean, who can resist a GIANT bonfire and copious amounts of booze? (Secretly I wonder if I will grow out of my drinking...haven't so far.)
Work is just about comical...there is so much wrong I don't know where to start. The screen printer and I put out fires one day at a time...that is about all we can do. The old owners are meddling and the manager won't do her job and the current owner won't do anything about it...and nobody is consistently and correctly ordering garments. Have you ever tried to screen print without a shirt? (Hint: you have to be Jesus to pull that shit off.)
A bit of lighter news: Cody is going to Arizona for several days next week and I get to tag along! I worked everything out at my office, so I get to see the Grand Canyon for only the price of my plane ticket. Cody's ticket, the hotel, and the rental car are taken care of by his company. It's a spur of the moment thing, which we don't often do. It will be a quick vacation, but it will be an experience. I think we are actually going to the Navajo reservation there. I am pretty sure that's where the mine is where Cody is working. Woot!
I have devised a new game for the days when Cody and I carpool to work together. If he works over in the afternoon, and is late picking me up from my office, I start walking the two miles to BBW and drink as many beers as I can before he gets there. :D I recommend this.
Is anyone else as ready for fall as I am?
