check the website! i was seriously close to crying when i read it. all you can do is donate some $ for the last issue. they're fundraising so they can put out KS16 to finish volume 4, and then that's it.

the ipa = the independent press association.

sounds good, yes? BUT THEN, from their website:

"IPA has ceased operations effective 12/27/2006. An Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors was executed on that same date. If you have any questions, please contact Uecker & Associates at (415) 362-3440. Thank you for all your past support!"

amongst other things, the IPA provided capital, printing discounts, newsstand distribution, and tips on marketing and similar stuff. without them, COUNTLESS numbers of publications are going to be FUCKED. while they don't give much of a reasoning on their own website, according to what KS says on their website, the IPA has been pretty good at fucking around its 'members'. anyway.

i'm still really upset about this. now would be a good time for some benevolent millionaire to swoop in.
