¡VAMOS NADAL! ¡Viva España!

What a long Wimbledon match! But well played I must say! Federer lost the first two sets, then wins the next two after an awesome tie break on the fifth set. Federer lead the 5th set until Nadal broke his serve to eventually win the championship in a match that lasted almost 5 hours! (kill me! I lacked sleep Sunday and still watched) Although Federer will still be ranked No.1 in the world and Nadal a mere No.2?? WHO ZE FECK CARES?! Nadal challenged a champion and won! Damnit! That hot, pulsating, energy filled 22-year old body, g-d if I were 22 again, I'd be running 42 km marathons in just 2 months! Haha like I'm that old! I'm 24! Seriously though guys, huge difference in energy I have now, but I'm apparently still hyper for everyone else.

Wimbledon final: Federer vs Nadal

Nadal Wins Wimbledon, Denies Federer Historic Title (Update1)

By Danielle Rossingh

July 6 (Bloomberg) -- Rafael Nadal won his first Wimbledon title, beating five-time champion Roger Federer in the longest championship match in the tournament's history.

The Spaniard beat Federer 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 at the All England Club in London to deny the Swiss a record sixth straight title.

``It's impossible to explain what I felt in that moment,'' Nadal said after the win. ``I never imagined something like this.''

Nadal is the first man since Bjorn Borg 28 years to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season, a feat also achieved by Rod Laver in 1962. The 22-year-old is also the first Spaniard to win the grass-court Grand Slam since Manuel Santana 42 years ago.

The match lasted 4 hours, 48 minutes, eclipsing the 4:16 record set in the 1982 final between Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe.
