Yahoo! News has an article up that I feel the need to respond to... but apparently, even Yahoo! News realized how wrong it was, and thus gave the article no "Comments" section. Therefore, I'll be responding here... because someone is wrong on the Internet, and BY GOD, I CANNOT LET IT STAND! :-p

Interesting. I never really thought of PA having a high sales tax. I always thought of it being average. Perhaps the author lives in Delaware!

Plus, is it odd that besides Florida (well, maybe near the beach wouldn't be so bad), I would consider living in any of those income tax free states?

Don't misunderstand me; I'm not saying Pennsylvania's sales taxes are high, just that Florida's is not as much higher as this writer wants her audience to believe. It's a misleading article that plays write into the "progressive" idea that people should enjoy paying taxes. In my opinion, this article is only marginally less offensive than an article titled, "Yeah, you're a rape victim, but hey, at least that means you got laid!"
