The Morning After Never
So it's been a while... time for an update.
Thanksgiving with DGreek & ED! was much better than I expected. They made an amazing roast turkey with cranberry and apple stuffing, and my pumpkin pies turned out pretty darn well, too.
The NGW party went off without a hitch, so I was pleased with that. Three years running and we've managed to have a good turn-out every time. We had about 9 people here (including Psi and myself), so we were able to split the group and have two games at a time running. Apples to Apples was the favorite, as usual, but we also played Blockus, Citadels, Deadwood Studios, Guillotine, Monsters Menace America, Settlers of Catan, and messed around with Morphius's Wii... If he would quit whipping out his Wii at parties, maybe people would stop playing with it so much! :-p
So we moved the Psi-family last weekend, or most of their stuff, anyway. I've finally stopped being sore. Oh well, it's good for the muscles. Between that and the semi-regular gym attendance, I think I've actually started getting definition in my arms... Color me freakish!
Oh yeah, and after the moving, I went with Tenor & Z to Z's family Christmas bash. Thank the Lord for British people and their CRAZY family get-togethers! SO much food, SO many kinds of liquor, a totally random music mix... It was nuts! Ah, yeah...
And finally... I've become addicted to D&D minis. Not just minis in general, but the actual, WotC-produced, iconic monsters and heroes made-to-scale, annoyingly plastic minis. I started trying to collect all of the Eberron-specific ones on eBay, and the auctions are EATING MY SOUL. I just spent $25 on a Warforged Titan! How sick is that? Not that I spent that much... but that the Warforged Titan costs more than the Gargantuan Black Dragon! That's nuts! :-)
