- broke my spine
- drove to Melbourne by myself
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
- Didn't have any.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
- No close friends, but certainly friends of family/friends, births I knew about and babies I met :)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
- No, thankfully. No funerals attended in 2006
5. What countries did you visit?
- Stayed in Australia this year
6.What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
- A better working relationship with certain people (NB: not at my workplace)
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- January 12. Date of the 'fall' that fractured a vertebra
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- Doing well in my role at AV2006, and making a lot of friends there.
9. What was your biggest failure?
- Not improving the lot of FVU as much as we needed.
10.Did you suffer illness or injury?
- Yup. Too much :) Apart from the big one, also got a frisbee in the face in March that split my lip :) No more playing frisbee at night at weddings.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
- Cowon A2

- In a small way, the person I am thinking of in No. 6, although they have improved remarkably since last year.

- New car.

- AV2006
- Jelly Wrestling
- End of Job #1 and the subsequent holiday
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
- LDN, Lily Allen. Maybe. Lots of great songs this year.
17. Compared to this time last year, you are?
- A little less fit
- Hoping to get physically better to do all the things I used to do, but better
- Still healing from the back injury :(
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
- Cycling
- Hiking
- Camping
- Canoeing
- Exercise

- Time in hospital/in recovery from injury
- Eating fatty food
20. How will you spend Christmas?
- Don't celebrate it, so Christmas itself ain't really that big a deal
- Usual thing is our Instead-of-Xmas party at
quuux's house, which was pretty good.

- No.
22. What was your favorite TV program?
- Too many to count. Heroes, The Daily Show, and many more.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
- No. Don't think anyone's on my hate list at the moment.

- Bloody hell. Lots of books read, but the best?
- I was quite impressed with "The Loneliest Mountain"

- A new car!

- Not sure if I can think of anything.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
- Not much. Ended up going for dinner at the Bay with a few guys. I was 28.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
- Not injuring myself causing a lot of plans to be put on hold.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
- Does a plastic backbrace count as fashion? Hahaha.
32. What kept you sane?
- My collection of singing potatoes. (sorry, Red Dwarf reference there :p)
- Family and friends
- Plenty of time to relax (and watch TV/movies, read books)
33. What political issue stirred you the most?
- Ooh lots. Net neutrality, Iraq war (again), the fact that the US and Australian political systems are so absurd and the sheer stupidity of the average person on the street to be so influenced by the media and to not actually *care* about the issues enough to use their votes wisely.

- My grandmother
35. Who was the best new person you met?
- Lyn and all of the Wandera unit at AV2006.
