By now, this news is a month old, but it takes a little while for stuff like this to sink in, find its way to our family and friends, and finally, for us to take the time to set up a website (which isn't easy, by the way. There are so many choices to make which are almost on the order of life-and-death, because when you think about it, what COULD happen if we pick the wrong background color? ;) )
Our plan, as you probably know, is to get married during the summer of 2005, but no, we have not set a date yet, and won't until this summer. We've agreed not to make any major plans until after this school year has ended, so for now, we're only talking about things in the abstract, about things that we like and dislike, about how John would prefer pumpkin pie to wedding cake and I would be very angry if cake got squished in my face.
And that's sort of the point of having this website. We're going to update it occasionally with stories, plans, and hopefully only some of the endless details that only the bride really cares about. On the other hand, we'll be sure to give you a date as soon as we have one, and as the time approaches, will have all the other pertinent information about where to go, how to get there, and when you should be there. We'll put up a few photos as soon as we can, too.
By the way, you should feel free to leave us comments here, but since most of you are not LiveJournal users, you can just comment "anonymously" and then sign your comment. You'll see what I mean. It's very simple. We'll try to remember to sign our posts as well, since we'll both have access.
But for now, know that we're really enjoying being engaged (though it doesn't feel so much different to either of us), are very excited, and are especially happy to have our friends and families to support us.
Love,
Stephanie and John
