The little boy opens up the box to find his father, on leave from Iraq.
The little boy's first response: "It's my dad! Hi Daddy!"
This exchange promptly turned yours truly into a pile o' mush.
This sweet pea talks about his daddy all the time to his class.
Just when I thought it couldn't be any sweeter, they finished with a quote from the boy, explaining that he understands why his dad has to leave.
"He has to work," Gabriel said. "He works in the war."
