Today I went to Epcot. I headed straight for Soarin' and got a Fast Pass. I rode the ride in the standy line. While waiting for my Fast Pass time I grab a snack at the little food place there in the Land pavilion. Rode Soarin' again and then went to Test Track. Test Track has a single rider line which is the best thing ever. There's hardly a wait when you get in this particular line. After Test Track we went into Innoventions (or at least one side of it). There is this little show called "What's Your Problem?". It's based on velcro (weird, I know). I normally would have not even considered seeing something like this, but one of my favorite actors from the Adventurers Club now performs in it. He's one of the hosts of a mock game show. Snoopy (that's his stage name) really made the show. Speaking of the Adv. Club. We walked by there last night. I almost cried. Why did Disney have to close it?! Of course, I had to take a picture. Anyway, on to the rest of my story about what I did today. After the velcro show it was getting closer to time for our lunch reservation in "Japan" (side note: the other day my mom heard me on the phone making the reseveration and she said "you're going to Japan?!"; all she had heard me say was Japan). The restaurant is called Teppan Edo. It's basically just a normal hibatchi-style restaurant (although they didn't do any cool tricks with fire). There is a Disney difference, though. Me and my mom both had the chicken. It came with noodles, vegetables, and steamed rice. For dessert I had chocolate ginger cake and mom had green tea pudding. After lunch we headed next door to the American Adventure where we listened to the Voices of Liberty perform (they are an amazing acapella group). We watched the show inside the pavilion. Btw, the gift shop had several items commemorating the Inaguration. My mom headed back to the room while I checked out some more places in World Showcase. At the Japan pavilion I went crazy checking out the wide assortment of Japanese candy.
rainymemories would have went wild in this store. Not only did they have food, they had just about every sort of Japanese item you could imagine. The only thing missing was Johnny's.
swtcamden would have loved it too. Here's what I bought. 3 little lucky cats (silver for patience, white for good fortune, and pink for romance and friends), gummi candy, chocolate covered gummi candy, Pocky chocolate dessert sticks, and Hello Panda biscuits with chocolate cream.
My goodies!
I also went to the China pavilion where I bought another good luck cat and chop sticks with the Year of the Rabbit on them.
Before leaving the park I rode Spaceship Earth.
It was getting colder and windy so I decided to go ahead and go back to my room. It's been very chilly here today, but the wind makes it worse. It's supposed to be colder tomorrow.
For supper tonight we ate at the food court. We got the "mom's night out" meal. Tonight it was the turkey and dressing. I wanted to get a drink, but the poolside bar is closed.
Speaking of drinks. I got a Grand Marnier Orange slush at the France pavilion.
Tomorrow we're going to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm going to try to ride Toy Story Mania a few times. Tommorow night Animal Kingdom is having Extra Magic Hours from 5-8 so I may go back to ride Expedition Everest a few more times.
edit: I thought about you too,
