Earlier this evening I went "ghost hunting" with some of my cousins. My cousin Jennifer is fascinated with the idea that ghosts exist. Every so often her and her two kids and her sister Christy go to some place that's either spooky or reported to be haunted. They'll also go cemetaries. What they do is take pictures to see if there are any "orbs". Jennifer also does like the folks on the ghost hunter tv shows and asks the ghosts to make their presence known. Anyway, I went with them tonight on one of their adventures. We started off at a facility that was the former home of a mental health facility (sort of a group home type place). The buildings and grounds were in bad shape. The place looked pretty creepy. Christy took a few pictures and some of them did have "orbs" (or what they call "orbs") in them. Are they just spots on the lens or something else? I don't know. We didn't hear any strange sounds or feel anything weird. Next we went to a cemetary that Jennifer had heard was haunted. It wasn't all that creepy to me. After walking around a few minutes a cop pulled into the cemetary. That's what I was more afraid of. Forget ghosts; I didn't want to get arrested and sent to jail (lol). Luckily, the police officer was nice. We explained what we were doing and he talked with us for a few minutes. He even suggested another cemetary we could visit. Before leaving this cemetary we walked over to the pet cemetary. In this area Christy got a few shots that had orbs in them. I thought it was cool how all the animals had headstones with the animals name. Before heading to our next location we made a stop at McDonald's (what ghost hunt is complete without a visit to McDonald's?). The next stop on our journey was another cemetary. This one was dark (no lights inside). We didn't hear anything unsual, but the weather had turned chilly here. Windy too. It wasn't like this at our previous stop. Christy got some good pictures too. I wish I had brought my camera now. Since it was getting late and cooler outside we decided to call it a night and we headed home. At my cousins' house we looked at the pictures on their tv screen and we showed them to my aunt.
Overall, it was a fun night. Maybe I'll do it again sometime.
