Bill raced into the conference room, frowning as he took the last seat in the front row. While shuffling his scrolls, he dropped one. Bill and the woman next to him both reached for it, their fingers brushing against each other. Bill's whole arm tingled.

"'Ere," she whispered as she gave him the parchment.

"Thank you," Bill mouthed, as he looked into her eyes and returned her smile.

She was the Triwizard Champion from Beauxbatons! He met her at the Third Task, but what was her name? He couldn't remember. Bloody hell, she was so beautiful, Bill wasn't sure he could remember his own name.

Bill tried to concentrate on Ragnok's words, since Ragnok was glaring at him, but he was very aware of . . . the woman. He thought her name had something to do with flowers, and he seemed to remember there might be a "c" in it somewhere . . .Bill sighed. He'd just have to admit he didn't remember and ask her after the meeting.

She shifted in her chair next to him, and her thigh brushed against his. Bill's entire body went on alert. When she settled again, he was very aware of the mere centimetres separating her right leg from his left leg.

As soon as the meeting ended, Bill turned to the woman and offered her his hand. "Bill Weasley."

She accepted his hand. "Yes. Meester Weasley, I remember." Her eyes danced with laughter.

Bill was never one to back down from a challenge, "Forgive me, I don't remember your name . . ."

She was still holding his hand. "Fleur Delacour."

"Would you like to have lunch with me, Miss Delacour?"

"Zat would be lovely, Meester Weasley."

After lunch, Bill and Fleur walked back to Gringotts holding hands. They were talking as they walked, but Bill was thinking about how much he wanted to kiss Fleur. Unfortunately his mum's rules about "How to Be a Proper Gentleman" kept running through his head, one of which was "No kissing on the lips until the third date-hand first, then cheek, then lips." Maybe if they counted the meeting as date one, the walk to lunch as date two, then date three would be lunch? That was a stretch, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

They arrived at the employee's entrance, and turned towards each other. Bill took Fleur's other hand, so he was holding both. Fleur's hands were so soft. Bill ran his thumbs over the backs of them. She smiled at him with a twinkle in her eyes. Bill hoped she didn't notice his palms were sweaty. He took a deep breath.

"Fleur . . ."

Before Bill could say anything else, Fleur closed the distance between them and kissed him. Bill's last coherent thought was he was certain he would not be able to remember his own name for a very long time.
