I understand the grade posting problem that Lauren mentioned in her last comment. I have a class where the only grades were four SCANTRON tests. We took our finals early this week, the grade is just now posted. I just know the professor had all of the grades entered, but just sat there for two days giggling about how we were all probably checking our grades every five minutes. He is an ass. Well, its posted now. I made the deans list (which is'nt hard to do when you are taking education classes).
Oh, by the way. I'm really pissed at the R.A. of Adams house at my school. I am taking the mini session so I paid the break fee so I could stay at school. For those of you who have never lived in a dorm let me give you some background information.
When you arrive for a semester/session you must check in. This involves taking the R.A.'s list of all the things wrong with a room and making sure everything is on there (chipped paint, scratches in the counter, etc.). You sign and take responsibility. Then, when you check out, the R.A. goes back through the room to make sure you didn't damage anything that was'nt already on the list. If you did, you get a fine. When you check out the room must be clean. Counters wiped, floor swept/mopped, bathroom (counter, sinks, toilet, shower and *shower curtain (*this is the nastiest thing in the bathroom usually), and things of this nature should have taken place. I take great pride in leaving my rooms ready for the next person who will inhabit them.
Well, I moved into a suite that was previously housing boys. The first thing I notice is that the room is dingy. No problem, they are boys and don't have an eye for detail. I can wipe down the walls right? Then I notice that the cabinet is broke all to hell. Drawers and the drawer holder are both in shambles. The floor is sticky. It may have been over a year since this floor has been in contact with a mop. I see a roach. Well, I think to myself, where ever it lived is now gone so it should'nt have any friends. Then, Dun dun DUN, THE BATHROOM. The counters were filthy, the shower is filthy, the floor is filthy, the shower curtain is really really filthy, the toilet paper holder and towel racks are broken...this was purely disgusting. I get out my cleaning supplies and proceed to clean the second dorm bathroom of the day. When I finish (I have'nt cleaned the floors yet) I start to put my stuff under the sink when *gasp* I find the home of the roaches. My predecessors must not have had a garbage can because, tossed under the sink, there are wads of toilet paper, toilet paper rolls, dirty q-tips and dead roaches (probably some live ones, but I didn't investigate). I wanted to vomit.
Their R.A. really should have made them clean their room/bathroom. They should get fined. I should be compensated.
Anyway, pray for no rain tomorrow. I'm going skydiving.
