Also wanted to add that the reviews I have read (including one in today's Boston Globe) have been fairly positive, particularly about Sam and Frodo and especially about the music.
Oh, I'll definitely still track down the music when it's available. I will still want to hear what they've made of our dear LOTR. (Going to Toronto is not quite an option for me right now...) But maybe going in with low expectations is actually better, for the chance of being pleasantly surprised. :)
the review in the NYTimes seemed to not really like it either. I'll hold out though. I'll go see it and then decided whether to love or mock it afterwards ^_^

Makes me glad I didn't go -- what's the point in seeing a Weber play without the Weber?

The music is fantastic - stunning and beautiful. It fit the mood and the story perfectly - I was totally transfixed and can't wait for the CD.
