We come to it at last...the extended edition.

Due to my being in the middle of moving from one house to another, I haven't been able to sit down and watch the whole ROTK: EE yet. But naturally I pushed aside the cardboard boxes and spent some time last night skipping around on the DVD's and watching a few scenes and a few extras here and there.

So far I was pierced to the heart by two new things...
1) Eomer's "Nooooooo!" as he spotted unconscious!Eowyn and ran across the battlefield in slow-mo to gather her up. *goosebumps* Yes. That was one deleted scene that definitely should have stayed in the theatrical edition. (Some of the others are...well, extraneous. Nice, of course, but not strictly necessary.)
2) In "Cameras in Middle-Earth," the coverage of Elijah's last shot, when he "burst into tears" in PJ's arms. Awww.

And then I was in tears of laughter from the two Easter Eggs. Dom's interview with Elijah...oh, lordy. Dom is my new hero. (Plus, he has never looked cuter than in that sequence. Am I right or am I right?) And Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller holding up that 'Sam & Frodo' poster--haha! Golly, I think our slash jokes have gotten through to them a little.

[Edit: And to know that Sam and Rosie are grinning after their wedding kiss because they've just looked over to see Aragorn snogging Pippin? Priceless. Wow. That was a freakin' long kiss, too. Viggo is CLEARLY a pervy hobbit fancier. :D ]

OK, discuss--anything you want on the EE. Go; distract me from holiday stress; have fun.

lord of the rings, perviness
