ROTK screencaps!

Mar 28, 2004 21:43

Another journal to go look at:
shadowfax8 has been screencapping the hobbity parts of ROTK, along with judiciously-chosen other parts, and is taking requests for more! You are also free to download the existing pictures and make icons and stuff. It is totally droolworthy.

I myself have already made this icon, plus these two, which are up for grabs...( Silliness, but no slash! )

lord of the rings, lj business, picture comedy

04b_03b and the related ones are the most common pixel fonts people use. They're available for several different platforms, Mac included, on DaFont.

*fourths* Actually, at DaFont there are a few that look very good small, I think they're even in one page. :-)

*fifths everything said here* Silkscreen is good, too. And if you want a serif font, Georgia looks good small.

Oopsie, sorry- I wasn't thinking of DaFont, I was thinking of this pixel font site.

I use the Eightbits and Fivebits fonts from dinc! Free Fonts - http://www.girlswhowearglasses.com/fonts.html
Tiny but highly legible, and Macintosh-friendly.
And, yeah, I may be speaking out of turn, but I think Comic Sans is beastly naff. The people who like it most seem to be the ones with the least actual familiarity with and feeling for computers and the Web; it's a non-computer person's idea of a computer font.

Thanks! Bookmarked that one.

This Comic Sans discussion is cracking me up. I had no idea the level of animosity that existed out there over a single font. Too funny. Not that I like it much either, now that you mention it...
