Times I've been in love with rain

when we were little, my brother & i would go out and dance in the rain, especially if it hadn't rained in a while. we lived in a rural area, so even though we had a neighbor across the road they couldn't see us. but i'm sure the people driving by thought that we were crazy or our mom was for letting us do that.

As a wise person put it, life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain. I think dancing in the rain is one of the pleasures in life that should be regularly indulged in! Glad you and your brother agree.

Lovely post, as you know I'm less enamored with the misty, moisty stuff than you are, perhaps because we get so much here in fall, especially. But you almost persuade me with those awesome writerly skilz of yours. And I especially love the title of your post, it really could be a song or a poem.

Thank you, Fred! Feel free to write that song if you want. You'd do better with it than I would, as music goes! I think it might take a certain temperament to pine for rain when it's been dry for a spell, but when it's a long enough spell, more and more people start feeling it. I get the impression even those sun-worshipping Californians will go out and cheer when the El Niño rainstorms finally sweep in on them this fall. But we'll see...standing by for their complaints. ;)

We did get a big rain-and-windstorm this weekend! And the clouds and drizzle are sticking around. Ah, Seattle finally looks like her old self again. :)
