Congratulte me. This is probably the only time I am going to claim offspring. Hedwig FINALLY had her litter. 5 of 6 kittens made it into the world. Unfortunately I had to leave her with my sister while I am in NC. Her neighbor and friend, who recently lost his cat through a bitter break-up, has been watching Hedwig for me. She gave birth at 4 am this morning. He heard her maoning at his bedroom door and finally woke up to let her into his room. Apparently he had his comforter on the floor and that's where she immedialely set herself up to deliver. 1 grey, 2 black & white, 1 tiger striped like her, and one orange in honor of Mr. Burns. The guy watching them claims one. I claim another. I'd like the tiger striped like Hedwig, but will be happy with any. I have 2 possible takers and that leaves one. My sisiter will be sending digital pics soon. And then it will be hard for all in the Tampa vicinity to resist. I should be home for a visit when they are 7 weeks. Which might be slightly too early, but if they are anything like their grandmother they will be early bloomers.
My sis says Hedwig was a natural momma. she is even puring when they are nursing. I had a friend who recently had a cat who didn't know what to do and none of the kittens survived so I was a little nervous. I thought it was innate, but apparently the momma gene doesn't always carry on.
I will be posting this on my hotmail account, so those of you who get duplicates, my apologies. Especially
maladr1n whose woman is on my list. But right now I have only one available, so if you can convince your neighbor, you got nothing to worry about ; )
That is all. As if that wasn't enough.
