Aquarians are, objectively speaking, the best.
So I learned today that Cecil Baldwin of WtNV has the same birthday as me! This makes me so freaking happy!
Y'know what else makes me flailingly happy? The fact that there's FINALLY some mobilization in the women's rugby scene in this city. I've been waiting for more than THREE years and after all that time, the practice held yesterday was so amazing! 16 players showed up and we had about 4 guys from the men's team to help out. There's not a lot of skill among us, but there is a hell of a lot of enthusiasm, so hopefully we can keep the numbers up!
While awesome, this victory is rather bitter-sweet: we're training for 7s, which happens in the summer, so I probably won't be able to participate. And I definitely won't be here for fall 15s. It's a huge shame that it's only NOW that the team is being formed. But I'll definitely take what I can get. They also seem to have a good relationship with the men's team, so I'm planning on going to the men's practice on Thursday to check it out. There's also a pre-men's fitness practice for us women tomorrow at 6 and since the ultimate game isn't until 8ish, I'm gonna hit that up too. So much exercise, I love it!
