(no subject)
It's 101 degrees here in Austin, which is making exploring very difficult. Yesterday, we met up with Cicco and he took us to the Driskill Hotel and then to Lovejoys. Lovejoys was pretty awesome because it was just such a hole in the wall punk bar. Whoever planned the decor for Smalls in HBG totally copied that place exactly. I got pretty drunk on some local beers (I love Shiner Hefeweisen). Today, for some reason I thought it was a good idea to walk around the city (in 101 degree heat). I got lunch at Annie's with Chris, which was REALLY good. Then I went shopping on 2nd St at Design Within Reach, IF+D and Mercury. After that I made the d decision to walk along the river (or lake?) and take pictures. I ended up kinda far from the hotel and was in an area with no 'dillo stops. I thought I was going to pass out! Tonight I'm going with Chris to a reception at the How Conference.
