Getting there...

Today was the first time since my surgery that I got through the day without pain. The day did catch up with me, though, and I'm hurting just a little bit. An ibuprofen and a good night's sleep should take care of it. Yesterday, I went to church for the first time in a month and sang in the choir. I still get tired out easily, but it was nice to get out of the house! I even baked a cake for coffee hour. In another month, I'll be able to lift things again, including the cat. I hope I'll never need surgery of any kind again!

Meanwhile, here's a beautiful peony and more irises from Mom's garden.





And the Mother's Day cake I made for church. They ate it all!
