On a lighter note

Last night's dream:

I was in my grandparents' old house with my mom, my brother, cousin Griffin, and maybe Draco Malfoy. The radiator we used to stick magnet letters to wasn't there anymore--it was now a pool of water leading out to sea, because also the street was the ocean. I was supposed to be doing back-to-school shopping, but I kept falling into the water.

Suddenly! A seal! (I called it a seal in my dream but looking back it was actually a manatee.) A big fat seal had beached itself on my grandparents' carpet. We screamed and screamed and kicked at it (not it, just at it) until we realized that it was pretty helpless and couldn't move. [At this point, it became my own house instead of my grandparents'; we are in the room with the fireplace, and the golf course is the sea; the wall of my house is sort of like a jetty.] Greta was becoming a bit too interested in the seal, so my mom told me exactly what to do: I had to roll the seal over and tap its tail with a flyswatter so that it would swim back out to sea.

As soon as it was gone, we all moped around. We missed it too badly. We wanted it to come back. My mom, an apparent seal expert, told me what to do again: float my old keyboard in the shallow water and press these two notes just so--they reverberated throughout the water. We waited... and waited... and he came back!

We dressed up the seal just like Greta, with a collar and scarf, and for the rest of our days, it sat along side the dog and the cat while waiting for food in the kitchen.

Also, some sort of apocalypse was going down while the rest of this was occurring, but I don't remember that as well. Spiderman was there, though.
