As part of their TV Club 10 series, in which they pick 10 episodes of a long-running series that best represents that series, The AV Club has picked 10 episodes that show how Buffy the Vampire Slayer blew up genre TV.
The introductory article leading into the list is really very good, and while it's possible to quibble over some of their episode choices, I think it's overall a great list (well, until the end when they list the runner-ups to the top ten and "Older and Far Away" is listed. I can think of probably 50 episodes I would choose before that one). There's some of the usual "S3 is the best, S7 is the weakest, "The Body" is the finest episode" opinions that I disagree with, but there's no trashing of the later seasons in the article (I can't speak for the comments section), and it just gave me a warm happy feeling to read.
