Just like papa to leave a reminder of him this audible. the doves outside my window always coo to the same two melodies, one of which Papa copied and recreated in this way: “Loo-loo-looee!” It bears little resemblance to the true sounds of the dove (my own imitations I must admit were much better), but nonetheless, you could tell what he was going for, and the result was somewhat comical. So now, in his absence, and in my sequestration in my home, I hear these doves cooing all day and think of him. It’s nice.
