Kicked out of Tea
I found a group called City of Angel Tea Meet Up and went to an event they had at Lady Effie's Tea Parlor last fall. It was fine, and the ladies were nice. So I signed up for another one to be held 2/9 at The T Room in Montrose. I even prepaid.
Then the poll came.
We had a choice of three groups each including three teas. I was surprised, because it the event description, it said choice of tea. Out of the three groups, there were two teas that sounded good, both in group 2. I emailed the organizer and asked when the teas would be selected and if I could cancel if one of the other groups with teas I didn't care for was selected.
She emailed back that she canceled my RSVP and would mail me back my check to me. Then she sent this email to all the members of the tea group. Behold the power of molly_drew. Silly me, to think that for $25 plus, I would actually get to drink tea I liked as well as socialize.

I hope everyone is doing well, in this New Year. I will like to welcome all the new members, that have join us this year. I hope you will join us for Tea soon.
Regarding our Tea Meetups, most of the time, we will need to preselect our Teas before our Meetup. Most Tea Rooms have a policy that groups bigger than six people; will need to have a selection of 2 to 3 teas for their reservation. What I usually do is compose a group of Teas that will accommodate everyones taste. Then I will ask all of you to cast your vote in a Tea Selection Poll. At times I won't be able to please everyone.
That is why I am sending this letter to all of you. Going to Afternoon Tea is a great experience. I want everyone to be able to have such experience. Please be aware that our Meetup is about getting together and enjoying Tea and each other's company. Please understand that as a group we need to come together and agree in such matter of selecting our Teas.
This Meetup is not about individuals needs, at times we can make an exceptions. But please don't take advantage of the willingness of your fallow Tea Angels. If you are used to going to Afternoon and getting your own pot of tea. This Meetup may not work for you. In no way I am trying to discourage you from been part of our Meetup.
I just want for all of you to understand, that sometimes we may get to have our way. But the majority of the time we all get the same privileges. Once again I will like to reminded everyone. That Our Meetup is about getting together experiencing new Teas and meeting new people. Please understand what is the main purpose of this Meetup. I do understand that some of you have your own preferences, when it comes to your Tea Taste. I respect your choice, I hope you understand and respect also the purpose of this Meetup.
Payment is requirer in full prior to our Meetup. You will get two email reminders prior to the payment dateline. I will really encourage you to please review all the information, regarding the specific Tea Meetup you will like to attend. Payment and Refund datelines information is clearly explain at all times. Please only YES RSVP if you are sure you will be attending the Meetup. I will be enforcing the new guide line regarding Yes RSVP'S. In the case that you may continue to RSVP Yes and not meeting the payment datelines. You won't be able to RSVP to any of the upcoming Tea Meetups. This guide line has been created to accommodate everyone that really wants to attend Our Meetups. Please be courteous to all of your fallow Tea Angels when you RSVP Yes.
