not a real update

First: I'll be in in Boscamberville the weekend of July 4 (July 2 to 6) and it's going to be awesome since I defend July 1.  Mainly I want to drink a lot and watch tons of Doctor Who / Torchwood, so if you're willing to help with either of these, drop me a line.

So I've been thinking a fun thing to do once I move would be to take random classes (one at a time) on random shit.  Current list:
  • self-defense (the brother suggests jiu-jitsu; I think this is a slightly different thing, so let's make that a second class)
  • how to ride a motorcycle (most DMVs have classes to get your license and they provide the cycles)
  • sewing!
  • piano (it's been nearly 12 year since I've played but I think I could find a place to practice and take lessons at the University)
  • singing (I have *no pitch*-whatsit at all, but I reeeeally like singing, and I remember my dad taking singing lessons when I was little and that some of these things can actually be learned)
Any other suggestions or ideas of things that would be fun to learn?
