PokeNaru Spoilers

Since my inspiration/motivation to continue my weird PokeNaru stories--and Caught in the Whirlpool in particular--has faded, here's a little outline of what I intend/intended to happen.

A carbink? I ought to think about that one...I sorta forget that Carbink exists most of the time. ^^;

I'm sure that all of his Pumpkaboo have names, but probably not the most creative ones because he has a bunch of them. And the reason that he has so many of different sizes is more of Naruto accidentally catching ghost Pokemon. I imagine Naruto walking through this field (with Jiraiya maybe?) at twilight, thinking that it's a pumpkin patch...but it's a field full of sleeping Pumpkaboo. They wake up and freak out, and Naruto freaks out, a chase happens in some spooky woods perhaps, he gets cornered and starts throwing things in a panic while his Pokemon try to help in driving them away...and when the dust clears, he's managed to accidentally bag a bunch of ghost pumpkins.

As for Kurama, my vague idea of his personality is that he's arrogant, acts all superior, and is kinda vain. He thinks that he's the best and gets rather offended when Naruto uses a different Pokemon when he feels that he can handle the situation. It gets worse when he evolves, leading him to act like a brat and sometimes even butting into a fight and/or not listening to commands when he really feels like he can handle it. He often thinks that Naruto's loud personality and enthusiasm is really dorky, but he gets attached to the kid and tries to hide how much he cares about him by acting cool and aloof. He's also very disdainful of Gama-chan (female Froakie) because she has a similar personality to Naruto/is dorky and clumsy and very openly affectionate to Naruto.

Lol, poor naruto. Every time he manages to get rid of one arrogant pokemon he gets another. And yes corbink is pretty forgetable. Have you out any thought into the other pokemon he'll catch?

Not really.

Naruto already has a lot of Pokemon at his disposal, so I don't want to give him too many more. And there weren't a whole lot of new Pokemon added in Gen VI (mega evolutions aside). I'm tempted to give him a lot of things, but...

I love the new fossils, but he already has an Aerodactyl (which now can mega-evolve) so he really doesn't need one.

I love Honedge and its evolutions, but I already want to give him a clutch of Pumpkaboo and I can't give him too many ghosts.

I really love Hawlucha...but that seems more like a really good Pokemon for Lee.

As for fairies, I adore Slyveon, but I've already earmarked Eve for a particular form and I don't really want to change my mind. I'm more changeable on Vee, but...I dunno. I also love Azumarill, but I'm giving Kushina one. And the same thing with Dedenne--Minato's getting his hands on that one. (And Kakashi already has a Granbull, and Hinata's got a Clefairy...not that they realize what they have).

So much thinking to do...

Hmm. He'll need a team at least. So the two starters and a punkaboo (I'd imagine that he keeps one with him at a time so he has space for other pokemon) then theres his fairy. That leaves two spaces. How about a normal type? I know that all the gen six ones end up as duel types but it couldn't hurt.

If you don't want to do corbink as a fairy maybe swirlix. I can't really see him with a flabebe or a spritzee. I'm more than happy to help plot or bounce ideas if need be.

Hmm...if he'd get a normal-type I'd say it'd probably be a Bunnelby, since rabbits are connected to the moon in Japanese folklore and Hinata is connected to the moon by her Byakugan...

Swirlix (and its evolution) seems more suited to an Akimichi because of how much it looks like food.

That'd be a neat thing to do. And I had the same thoughts reguarding swirlix.

Would the bunnelby be shy like hinata too?
