Our trip is going great. We're having a fabulous time. It's so nice to get out of town and just do whatever we feel like doing. We came up Tuesday, stopped by my grandparent's house in Missouri for a chat, went out to dinner when we got here (The Dubliner), and visited the arch and river at night. It was pretty at night with the lights. We have no intention of actually riding to the top, so a night-time visit to the bottom of the arch will suffice. We went to Six Flags yesterday and had a blast. One ride got the best of us, so we didn't ride many roller coasters after that, but we did ride all but 2 of the roller coasters. I think our favorite was the Ninja. I really like Batman too, Michael rode it with me even though it's not his thing, he survived though. : ) We got the flash pass which allows you to scan in for a ride and it holds your place in line while you go do whatever else you want to do, then it buzzes to let you know when it's your turn. Essentially, you don't have to wait in lines. It's supposed to give you whatever the wait time is for the line, but all the lines were at about the 30 min to 45 min length, and our flash pass was only making us wait 10 minutes. It was definitely worth the extra cash, especially since we had free passes for the day!
Today is Michael's Birthday. So Happy Birthday, Michael!! As if he's not right across the room from me.
We decided to be lazy this morning and not rush out the door. Michael brought me breakfast in bed from the buffet (how backwards is that? I should be bringing him breakfast in bed, it's his birthday for crying out loud!). I think we're going to the Anheiser Busch tour, the wax museum, and union station later, and perhaps Ted Drewe's.
On the road
See the shiny thing? That's the arch. It's not very photogenic up close, but at least I am. ; )
Michael takes advantage of such a nice shiny surface
Boobs-o-Light (standing on top of the lights that light the arch at night)
Scooby!!! Ok, so I'm easily pleased.
Marvin the Martian. I had to beg to get Michael in this photo, he refused one with Batman because he looked funny (Batman, not Michael).
