well i finally have l'internet in my room and i am right pleased.
please note that right is actually pronounced 'reeght' as if one were from sheffield.
yes children, i am embracing my inner indie kid so hard that she cannot breathe. i bought the nme. oooohh. and actually spent money on a cd, namely the arcitc monkeys (the owners of the sheffield accent, in case you are too square to know). also, the title of their album is a quote from a film i watched for my course, starring albert finney. who knew daddy warbucks was so hot in his youth?
had a great evening yesterday. partly i liked it because it was like a scene from a slacker film. me and harriet and fifi sat listening to smooth jazz and the specials, smoking and playing the post-it on the head game. marvellous.
also invented the greatest game ever. me harriet and amy were wetting ourselved laughing for an embarrissingly long time, despite being completely unintoxicated. bascially, you have to get a film title and replace one of the words with 'mum' or 'your mum'. par exemple:
The Breakfast Mum
The 40 year old Mum
a mum to remember
and my personal fave: 10 things i hate about your mum.
i am actually laughing just typing that.
so in general i am doing some work. some. and watching films and going to excellent indie nights. really want to go to this eighties night (free entry if you were born in that decade) because i am absolutely in love with club tropicana and wake me up by wham! and must dance to them.
in other news,i tragically fell madly in love with a boy i was only ever going to spend a couple of hours with. but i get over this more everyday.
