(no subject)
Back in NY for an extremely abbreviated stay. I flew in last Friday night, drove to pick up Kimmy in Boston on Saturday, organized and executed Mother's Day on Sunday, took Papa to the zoo on Monday with the rest of the family, and drove BACK up to Boston on Tuesday. Phew. It was a whirlwind week. I stayed at Lizzie and Jess's from Wednesday through Sunday, and it was perfect. I ate great food, had awesome conversation for the first time in a long time, and just fell back into a comfy old friendship that I had greatly missed.
Now, I am back at the parents' house for a few days. I picked out new glasses yesterday. I think they're just funky enough to keep me from looking too old and frumpy, but classy enough to be good "doctor glasses," meaning I can wear them and be professional and not emo. They are black on the outside and green on the inside, but the black isn't completely opaque, so the green shows through. They look like this:
I get my hair cut tomorrow, so hopefully I will like it and can post a picture. It's like I'm giving myself a mini-makeover. I feel like now is a good time for a little change.
