Is it too early to be thinking about Halloween?! I dunno who/what to go as! I don't even know if I have plans... I don't want to go to any Halloween parties here at university because I don't like being around alcohol... :x Would it be SOOO LAME to take the train home fer the weekend and trick-or-treat with my little brother? xD Yes, it would? I would do it ^_^ I miss trick-or-treating! I've been thinking about Halloween for a couple of weeks and decided to be Sailor Moon.

Aah I wish I could go as Sailormoon! I'm still considering it for Otakon this summer but there's no way I could throw together a costume in less than a month. ;~;

Are you wearing a wig? Making the fuku yourself? ACCESSORIES? :D I wanna see pictures! Hahaha I just love Sailormoon costumes. x)

I have blonde hair, so I bought extensions ^_^ I'm making the fuku but using a pleated skirt I got at goodwill and altered. so it's not amazing or anything. I might make a new skirt when I go to actual cons. I have accessories! Don't worry, it's going to be an awesome costume. I'll post pics in my journal whenever I get at least most of it together, haha.

Ooh right you made that post in Sailormoonfans about extensions didn't you? How'd that go?! :o I might look into that if I ever go through with a costume of my own. I've never been able to find a pre-made (and affordable x__x) wig that really suited my fancy~
I BET IT IS TOO AMAZING. ITS GONNA BE SO CUTE BAWWW I can't wait to seee. :'D

I ended up getting some from cosplay.com Cosworx wig store. They have 4' long extensions. I'm not sure if they come attached to anything or if I'll have to rig something, but it was a good deal. I missed the delivery so they haven't come in yet x_x

I don't really like the premade wigs either.. I tried getting a wig once and styling it myself, but I got it and gave up pretty quickly. Then I just dyed my hair blonde anyway, lol. it's way easier this way, I think.

Otakon you say? I might look into going to that one..

Hehehe going without a wig definitely sounds easier... and a lot more comfortable x__x I hate wearing wigs myself~

Definitely come along to Otakon!! It's so so sooo much fun :o Which cons have you been to?

Yeah, and wigs always just look like.. wigs. you know?

I've only been to crappy college cons (RPI's genericon in january!!! oh boy) and Anime Boston, which was epic. Which ones have you been to?

Hehee I do know exactly what you mean~

I've only gone to Otakon... this past summer was my 6th year :o I can't believe I've been going for so long. And still haven't gotten sick of it! hahaha. I really wanted to go to the New York Anime Festival but I had to go back home for Yom Kippur that weekend, ho hum. I'd love to go to AB, it's just a bit too far for me. :(

And RPI.. that's Rensselaer, right? You're like 3 hours north of me hahaha yay New York~ :)

Yep!! Most people confuse it with RIT, haha. Where you at? My boyfriend's from near Boston, so that's how we ended up going there.

I also wanted to go to NYAF really badly, but my boyfriend's parents picked that weekend to come visit so we couldn't. ;__;

ha! I am skilled~! I'm on Long Island, at Hofstra. Blaaah! The one nice thing is that I'm somewhat near NYC. :)

NYAF definitely would have been cool, but I've heard some complaints! A lot of people were saying at Otakon that it's more like commercial-centric than about the fans. But hey, I just go to see amazing cosplay so I don't care sooo much hehe.

I wish I was closer to NYC! I go there a couple of times a year, but not nearly as often as I'd like..

How far is otakon from you? It seems pretty far from here.. but it's a huge convention. I might consider going..

From my house in Jersey it's just short of a 2 hour drive. It's definitely worth it! Especially if you're there for Friday and Saturday. I mean, just being in Baltimore is such a sight!!! Costumes/weirdos/cool people EVERYWHERE. And I loooove seeing the tourists' reactions. There were tons of families there for the Oriole's game the same weekend... so much hilarity hahah :P

Awww its like 5-6 hours from Troy. Do you stay at a hotel or just drive back?

Honestly people's reactions were one of the best things about AB. The convention center is attached to this really expensive mall (they have like Dior and TIffany's) which was absolutely packed with cosplayers. It was priceless XD

Yess it's the greatest! Some people thought it was like a Star Wars convention. Those poor innocent civilians. :')

We always leave Friday and stay at a hotel til we leave on Sunday. Me and one of my close friends and our moms go every year, it's a little tradition. We prance around the convention center in weird costumes and they go off and drink lots of wine in Little Italy. :)
5 hours doesn't sound toooo bad though! (Then again, we have to drive up to Buffalo every Christmas and that's an 8 hour drive from home, so maybe I'm used to it!) You could even get a little carpool going on hahaha it could be an entertaining drive!
