God it's been a long time since I've updated. I'm home sick on a gloomy tuesday. The same tuesday inwhich I should be trapsing about CSUCI finding my classes. I'm missing the first day of school- yuck.
Well, I picked Manda up from surgery yesterday. She did really well. Before we left, her male nurse informed me to "keep an eye on her for a while- she tends to go full steam." -silly male nurses! So I took her home, cleaned the iodine off of her face, and then we proceeded to get high (thank you sparkling queen), take our personal pain killers, and watch movies and nap all day. I left her laying on her bed with an exorbitant amount of gauze wrapped around her neck and head.
I'm so stressed out this week. Applying for grad school is a headache and a half. You have to coordinate your pieces, your portfolio, application to your department and the university, and find three schmucks to send in recommendation letters hopefully on time. And it's all due Feb. 1! But if I get accepted, they will pay me a salary, with benefits, and my tuition will be free. And I can't imagine how amazing it would be to live an hour from Portland (my favorite big city). Hey business partners- that would be a great city for the coffee etc. house!
