so, this is me. autopilot. not stressed me. sweet. it's been a day or two since i thought about slowing down. slow down. don't move so fast. you've got to make your life last. (as i reinterpret s and g). well, so yeah. things i need to get done revolve around buying groceries and finishing papers. thank god everyone in my house is not in school, that'd make finals week more like hell. but no, for them it's a kick-back-like-all-the-others week, so it's just me rantin and ravin and workin away. i ate a really delicious omelette this morning at a place called supreme down in madrona today - the occasion was jaime's mom's birthday. it was perhaps the best omelette i ever ate - good organic farmers market veggies and peppered just right to make the whole thing spicy. anyway, the whole weekend has been strange in that it hasn't been a weekend, but then again, i had my weekend starting thursday, which worked out well. we're planning our christmas party - polka dots and stripes is the theme. spinach dip from husky and gin and tonics. it'll be a smash i'm sure. other than that, i've got three or four papers, one less after tomorrow, a photo final to finish in the darkroom and a test for history of photography. should be done with the game of fall quarter by wednesday. mmmmmm, yeah, just a game. next quarter it's classes tuesday thru thursday only. two photo classes though, which means something like 12 hours in the darkroom plus picture taking and developing. then also modern latin america and modern euro culture paper seminar thing. so, what i call this is fantastic. ah, the joys of being an upper class person and being able to take the classes that kick ass. i don't think i'll ever get tired of this school taking. perhaps i'll come back.
now, what about this traveling to spain business. is it really true that i will be able to say that within a year and a half i will have gone to europe three times? more specifically, barcelona (the most amazing city i've yet experienced) three times? yes, it's a likely possibility. amazing, i guess. i'm thankful for the opportunities, the ability to keep it cheap - despite the continually falling us economy. i will have seen italy, ireland, england, and spain. and probably will want to do a more thorough job of many of those places. and going to spain will help my spanish. which is good. because now i'm totally excited about applying for some sort of something that would send me to latin america after i graduate. and then ... well, i plan on traveling for the rest of my life. so, we'll see where the world spins and where i end up.
so, that brings me to a stop. for now. i return to my art history paper that, though lacking brilliance, is promising....
