oh what a beautiful morning

At the sake of repeating myself over and over, this song makes tears well up. For no good reason other than the pure power in the way it's all connected.

the bear, by my morning jacket:
its a bad idea,
to go down to the pier by yourself after dark.
it's a bad idea,
cause they're down on their luck and they've lost touch with their bleeding hearts.
bad idea,
cause i've felt that way and i know i shouldn't have gone.
the time is near,
to come forward with whatever killed your spark.
There's still time, for you,
to change your mind or whatever else you do.
there's still time.

Other notables are (again, like I've said before) come home baby julie come home. a new one from architecture in helsinki, called wishbone (which, by the way, is from an extremely catchy, soooooper adorably cheesy album). I never do feel bad about music. (except that one man who i hate so much)
Only this morning did a lawyer do an entire presentation using power point slides with short quotations of lyrics and then the songs that spoke to him to explain the connections between lawyers and "normal people." Turns out that in the state of Washington, between 67 and 71 percent of lawyers have a drug/alcohol addiction versus the everyone else statistic between 16 and 21. He is not only a lawyer but also a psychologist and using Springsteen, Lennon, Dylan among others he managed to get the room to respond to different ideals or whatever lawyers have, and the problems associated with those ideals. So, yeah, music is professional.

Over spring break I did two very important things: built foundations for two houses and learned how to do a booty drop. Life will never be the same.

Also, Jessi is less than 100 pages away from finishing the book Infinite Jest. If you know this book, even slightly, you are hearby formally invited to the Infinite Jest finishing party. We figure if one person has read it, celebrations are in order. Seriously. And as my new favorite John said recently (sorry Duffel, you're number 2 right now) "An infinite jest party involves getting so drunk that the book unwrites itself." So you will be guaranteed two things if you attend: one, jessi and john will be wasted through the justification of infinite jest and two, we will view hedwig and the angry inch (which seems appropriate). Also, if you would come dressed in the style of said movie, more fun will be had. Anyway, it may take Jessi a week or two to actually finish, but I'll try to update you. Oh, and even better, if you ARE interested, let me know so I can more formally invite you and give you all the necessary info.

Up on tap: good april fools, concert, work all day, study date with a heather i haven't seen since December, reading all my library books, etc.
